Junction 6 of the E411 is the bottleneck of the day: between quarter to ten and eleven, cars crawl towards the car park, and on hot days Aqualibi is full before you even get inside. So we leave earlier, or take the road via Bierges when it's busy, and drop you at the park entrance itself. Swim bags, cool box, pushchair and towels all go in the boot; child seats and boosters are ready if you give us the number and ages when booking. Coming from the airport, the Ring and the E411 take roughly forty-five minutes to an hour depending on the time of day.

The return leg is the real work. At closing time everyone comes out at once, the car park seizes up and it easily takes twenty minutes just to leave the site. We agree a time and an exact pick-up point at the entrance beforehand, and the driver positions himself ahead of the exodus rather than in it. If you come out earlier or later, a WhatsApp message is all it takes. You step straight into the car with wet swimwear and children who have had enough, and you still pay the price confirmed at booking.
